You were vaguely aware of that nagging need to smoke, but since you satisfied it continuously, you didn`t pay it much attention.
Now you have quit, and in doing so you discovered that you need to smoke, and that only smoking will provide any relief to this urgent need.

The problem is, smoking does not provide real relief...  all it delivers is more of the desperate need that afflicts you.  Smoking is like a Trojan horse, promising one thing on the outside, while concealing within its true purpose.

On the surface those cigarettes seduce you with the promise of making you feel better, even making you feel normal, but the moment you smoke them they actually have the opposite effect, they fuel your cravings, and withdrawals, and your dependency, and the addiction.

This is what you need to see clearly. You have to shed your old views that you just enjoy smoking, or that smoking will relieve the dreaded cravings...  and see the reality of what it has always done:   Addict you.

THAT is what is in that pack...  20 addiction delivery devices.  Try to see them like 20 little syringes for your lungs, because that is what they are.

Once you see the situation differently, the quit game is entirely changed, and now the odds are stacked firmly in your favor.

If you KNOW that smoking will not provide enjoyment or relief, and that in fact it will just give you misery and dependency, will you really smoke.

EVEN IF your body aches for it?  No, not if you see things clearly.

Think about it...  what if you discovered one day that your best friend not only always speaks ill of you, but has been poisoning your coffee every morning, and sabotaging your car, and putting ground glass in your family`s food.  Would you continue on as if nothing had happened?

Would you keep harping on what good company he is and what fun you have together?

Smoking is no different.

All this time it was not what you thought it was doing. It`s high time to acknowledge this and act accordingly.  Gummer
