So we are on the tail end of my spouse's second bout with Community Acquired Pneumonia (first time was 4 years ago). Her first time with pneumonia she ended up in the hospital for 4 days. When she got out the hospital the first thing she did was light up!
This time I was extremely proactive and got her into urgent care early but they still transferred her to emergency for further evaluation because of her previous history of pneumonia. This time I was extremely proactive and got her into urgent care early but they still transferred her to emergency for further evaluation because of her previous history of pneumonia. They gave here massive doses of antibiotics and steroids and sent her home because I had got her in early. The CAP (community acquired pneumonia) cough is really annoying (for everyone) and of course it is compounded by her smoking history.
That being said, she has not smoked in over week and is starting to feel much better day by day. "I am better. I want a cigarette." she said. I could not help myself and I went off. It is unfortunate that the nicodemon has such a hold on her and she does not realize (denial) the correlation between smoking and her condition. So far today she has not smoked but I foresee a poor outcome. God I hate this addiction.
